You create a Bexio invoice on the go in three steps: pick the contact, capture the line items, send it as PDF. With a native Bexio app like Vexlo, you can do this right after the client meeting on your phone, without heading back to the office and without pushing the paperwork to the evening.
How do I create an invoice in Bexio on mobile?
The workflow in Vexlo follows exactly the logic you know from Bexio on the desktop:
- Select the contact or create a new one on the spot.
- Add line items, with description, quantity, unit price and tax rate.
- Review and save. The invoice lands as a draft in your Bexio.
- Send it as PDF.
Because the data syncs with your real Bexio account, the invoice shows up on the desktop immediately too. You're not working in a parallel world, but in the same Bexio.
Can I edit line items on the go?
Yes. Line items can be captured with a rich-text description, quantity, unit price and tax category, duplicated or deleted with a single tap. For recurring services in particular, you save time by copying an existing line item and only adjusting the quantity.
How do I send the invoice?
You have two options:
- Send via Bexio, the status is updated directly in Bexio, so you see whether the invoice went out.
- Send through your device's mail app, if you want to add a few personal lines to the invoice.
The invoice is generated as a PDF, which you preview directly in the app before sending.
What about the QR-bill?
Since 30 September 2022, the orange and red payment slips are history in Switzerland. Since then the QR-bill and eBill have been the standard (Swiss Payment Standards, SIX). Bexio generates the QR-bill automatically, and Vexlo carries this PDF over unchanged. So there's nothing extra for you to worry about: what you send complies with the valid Swiss payment standard.
The biggest time saver: now instead of later
The fastest invoice is the one created while the meeting is still fresh. If you capture the invoice in the car or over a coffee, right after the client, you send it days earlier, and you no longer forget a line item that would have slipped your mind three days later at the desk.
